A temporary shop designed by shoe designer Tracey Neuls to show her shoe designs has opened in London.
The exhibition, called Shop& Show, consists of shoes from Tracey's ten-year archive as well as objects that have inspired her.
The shoes are displayed hanging from the ceiling above recycled drawer units that are stacked on top of each other. The drawers are also arranged vertically and clamped together to create shelving.
The store is open from 10 February - 01 March 2009 at 1-5 Exhibition Road, Brompton, London, SW6 2HE.

To coincide with London Fashion Week, shoe designer Tracey Neuls will open a temporary shop and show at No. 1-5 Exhibition Rd. in Kensington. Open for only 3 weeks the space will be selling London based Tracey’s current collection and displaying shoes from her impressive 10 year archive amongst the objects that inspire her.
Shoes from past, present and future collections will be hung over vertiginous towers made from hundreds of reclaimed drawer units. Amongst the shoes lurk an array of objects, found muses and everyday, overlooked paraphernalia which inspires much of Tracey’s work. Like Eileen Gray last century (to whom she has been compared) she is a designer who consistently shuns mainstream preoccupations with fashion, instead melding her instinctive, material sense with a concern for timelessness. A rare glimpse into her creative process.
Tracey Neuls at 29, Marylebone Lane has always been much more than a shoe-shop. The vital, sensual nature of the shop’s display is in keeping with TN’s general approach. Since opening the shop in 2005, it has been transformed many times for collaborations with artists such as Boo Ritson and experimental displays including knitted wallpaper. It was recently short-listed for the D&AD Branded Environment Award. The Brompton Road Shop&Show is a further manifestation of this spirit – one that has won her a Design Week ‘benchmark’ award, and a highly creative customer base.
For the duration, the Brompton Space will serve as pop up shop and exhibition.
