We've got together with [NAME] Publications of Miami to give away five copies of monograph El Ultimo Grito - Abandon Architectures.
Abandon Architectures looks at how Berlin designers Rosario Hurtado and Roberto Feo of El Ultimo Grito attempt to create objects that break away from inherited cultural conventions.
Edited by Ernesto Oroza and Gean Moreno of [NAME] Publications, the book is the first in their Objects Aside Series that examines designers with unconventional approaches.

We find ourselves living victims within a world of ‘structural residues,’ occupying an environment that has been materially, graphically and linguistically shaped by previous generations.
Abandon Architectures reflects upon El Ultimo Grito’s interest in how contemporary culture incorporates, re-uses and re-interprets the systems and structures it has inherited. Within this context the challenge is to create new ‘objects,’ which can be typologically d
isentangled from our conventional (learned) understandings of the world, and thus offer alternative ways to live, work and communicate.
Abandon Architectures is the first volume in [NAME] Publications’ Objects Aside Series--a series, edited by Ernesto Oroza and Gean Moreno, that focuses on designers who constantly challenge disciplinary protocols and conventions.
El Ultimo Grito is the creative partnership of Rosario Hurtado and Roberto Feo. Self proclaimed ‘post-disciplinarians,’ they are Senior Research at Kingston College and lecture at the Royal College of Art (Feo) and Goldsmiths, University of London (Hurtado).
[NAME] Pubications is a Miami-based non-profit publishing house. It was founded in 2008 by Gean Moreno, with the help of a grant from the James S and John L Knight Foundation in Miami.
