Competition: five copies of HGW: Hakobo Graphic World to be won
Dezeen and publishers Juice are giving away five copies of HGW: Hakobo Graphic World, a monograph about the work of Polish graphic designer Jakub Stepien, aka Hakobo.
Presented in both Polish and English, the book demonstrates Hokobo's influences from street culture and covers his graphic work for posters, visual identities and clothing, among others.

hgw: Hakobo Graphic World Monograph of Jakub Stepien aka Hakobo was released
The author’s albums presenting the work of graphic designers from Poland constitute unusual rareness, they are unique collectors’ items. The promised pioneer artistic publication is dedicated to Hakobo’s work, hgw: Hakobo Graphic World, issued by Juice from Wrocław (Poland), is an attempt at breaking impasse.
The review of projects from posters, through visual identifications or designs of clothes, right up to graphics on skateboards, presented in an over 200-page publication, will allow to appreciate the work of Hakobo.
His work was shown on street collective exhibitions, named after prestigious awards and described in foreign subject albums (among others in the famous publication New Masters of Poster Design, by John Foster, 2008).
Hakobo explores motives deriving from the aesthetics of the stereotype and street skates culture, camouflages the message, experiments with fonts, readability and undermining common tricks in graphic designing. His work shows an unusual scope of forms, through which Hakobo studies extremes.
