Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs interviews Austrian designer Harald Gründl, member of the imm cologne Trendboard, in this movie interview filmed as part of our Dezeentalks at [D3] Design Talents in Cologne earlier this year.

In the movie Gründl talks the audience through five images that represent his hope for a sustainable direction in the future of design.
Gründl studied industrial design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and holds a PhD in philosophy. He co-founded Vienna design studio EOOS with Martin Bergmann and Gernot Bohmann in 1995 and has produced work for clients including Alessi, Armani, Bulthaup, Dedon, Duravit and Walter Knoll. He has chaired the Institute of Design Research Vienna since 2008.
