This week on Dezeen
This week Dezeen have been at the London Design Festival, where we opened Dezeen Space in Shoreditch and officially launched the Dezeen Book of Ideas. Thanks to everyone who's stopped by so far!
Ron Arad was presented with the London Design Medal 2011, Tom Dixon hosted a discussion on the state of manufacturing in Britain and Marcel Wanders launched a range of products for British retailer Marks & Spencer.
Other attractions include David Chipperfield's metallic glass pavilions on the Southbank and greenhouse made of Lego in Covent Garden.
Meanwhile the Firstsite arts centre by Rafael Viñoly has opened in Colchester and a concrete house in Sri Lanka by Tadao Ando divided opinion among our readers.
Over on Dezeen Screen you can watch Dominic Wilcox explaining his delicate watch sculptures, interviews with exhibitors at Dezeen Platform and a series of films about Telling Tales at Ligne Roset Westend.
Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for regular updates and discussions throughout the week.
