Spanish designer Jaime HayĂłn has paired a ceramic urn-shaped body with a frosted glass shade to create these lamps for design brand Parachilna (+ slideshow).
Jaime HayĂłn's Chinoz collection of lights for Parachilna features rounded blown-glass diffusers that slope outward towards the bases.
The bodies are made by ceramic craftsman Italo Bosa, each created in a plaster mould and finished by hand before glazing and firing multiple times.
A dimmer switch changes the light intensity when moved up and down inside a vertical slit in the ceramic.
The ceramic element sits on a circular turned-wood base, raised up on three short legs.
The body comes in green, red and black, as well as a "ming" finish that references Chinese porcelain ware.
These colours can be mixed and matched with black, red and yellow ochre bases, along with matte white, glossy white and black diffusers.
HayĂłn's other ceramics projects include a series of hand-painted vases to celebrate Spanish design brand BD Barcelona Design's 40th birthday and figurines for porcelain brand LladrĂł.
