The design arm of architecture studio CF Møller has created a white porcelain tableware set in which different pieces all stack together (+ slideshow).
CF Møller Design shaped items in the Ensō collection so they fit neatly on top of each other "like small high-rise towers".
"The real beauty lies in the clever design features and proportions of the range," said Michael Sebber Colfelt, architect and designer at CF Møller.
"The individual parts fit together in ways that makes the range multifunctional. This is not just for show, it is highly functional and usable."
Designed for Danish ceramics brand Aida, the range is made in the whitest porcelain possible to emphasise the forms.
The set includes three cups: a small design for espresso, a larger vessel for tea and coffee, and a double-layered thermal mug without a handle.
Each has a curved shape that tapers towards the rim, similar to the salad bowl in the Ensō collection.
"Ensō means circle in Japanese, and the circle and the soft curves characterise the design and unite the Nordic design tradition with inspiration from the Asian roots of tea rituals," said a statement from the studio.
Flat plates also come in three sizes, along with a deeper dish and a saucer, which can all be used as lids for the other pieces. Tops for the cups can be used as small egg cups.
