Now entering its third year, the forum takes place between 15-19 September 2014 at venues throughout London, including the V&A museum, the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins.
There are over 30 speakers taking part in this year's forum, including the chair of Arts Council England Peter Bazalgette, gallerist Libby Sellers and London designer Paul Cocksedge.
Other participants range from Studio Tilt co-founder Oliver Marlow to Chicago curator Zoe Ryan and WikiHouse co-founder Alistair Parvin.
The five-day event will include nine forum sessions on topics ranging from open-source design to the future of lighting. The Five Ideas to Shake the World event will see five creatives pitch new ideas to audience members and a panel of judges including: Emily Campbell, founder-director of the Creative Education Academies Trust; Dutch furniture designer Ineke Hans; Nicolas Roope, founder of Poke; and Raoul Shah, CEO of Exposure.
Winners will be given the opportunity to choose which Global Design Forum session they would like to attend.
This competition is now closed. Twenty winners will be selected at random and notified by email. Winners' names will be published in a future edition of our Dezeen Mail newsletter and at the top of this page. Dezeen competitions are international and entries are accepted from readers in any country.
