Ceramiche Refin launches tile collection based on urban surfaces
Dezeen promotion: Italian brand Ceramiche Refin has unveiled a new collection of porcelain tiles influenced by industrial architecture and urban infrastructure.
The District collection includes three ranges titled Garage, Road and Track that each refer to the overriding theme.
The edges of the muted Garage tiles are designed to look distressed, while the Road designs based on driving surfaces are dominated by shades of black and grey.
Track echoes previous wood-effect collections by Ceramiche Refin, with flooring in sports halls and velodromes influencing the appearance of the digitally printed tiles.
The collection comprises 14 colour options, two thicknesses and five variations of size. All the tiles are suitable for both residential and commercial use.

Below is some further information from Ceramiche Refin:
The latest tile collection from Italian manufacturer Ceramiche Refin is District. Inspired by modern urban architecture and reclaimed industrial buildings, District comprises three ranges: Garage, Road and Track.
The porcelain tiles in the Garage range reference scratched and well-worn metal surfaces and antique marble slabs found in old shops and workshops. The muted colours and large size tile formats of Garage can be mixed with a selection of decorative tiles featuring number plates and old-style signage for a touch of Americana.
Road is, as its name suggests, as series of tiles resembling asphalt and tarmac. The black, grey and neutral tiles in this range can be accented with tiles featuring road markings. Additionally, Road 2.0 features two-centimetre-thick tiles for outdoor use which are suitable for either traditional or raised installation.
Track is a new addition to Refin's successful selection of wood-effect ceramic tiles. Inspired by sports hall and velodrome interiors, these digitally-printed and textured tiles simulate aged-wood surfaces with incredible accuracy. Decorative tiles with worn paint markings and white painted bricks complement the Track range.
The porcelain tiles in the District collection are available in a variety of sizes, from large format 75 by 150-centimetre slabs to 25 by 150-centimetre planks.
