Dezeen promotion: Italian furniture brand Pedrali is presenting its latest collection of functional furnishings at the Salone del Mobile in Milan this week (+ movie).
Amongst the new products are seven product families, as well as other designs including an outdoor table with a concrete base. These are constructed from a combination of wood, upholstered materials, plastic and metal.
The steel outdoor seating evokes the origins of a historical journey that Mario Pedrali started in 1963 with the first metal garden chairs.
Featured in a set of colourful styled photographs, the furniture will also be shown in the 2015 edition of Pedrali's New Ideas magazine.
Migliore + Servetto Architects has designed the stand for this year's presentation, displaying the new collection against a backdrop of luminous frames.
"The product families will be presented on various levels within environments defined as photographic sets," says Monica Pedrali, sales and marketing director.
"The backgrounds display light graphics and coloured geometric signs, outlining the characteristic and iconic scenes of the different products."
Visitors will be able to try out the various products on show in designated test areas in front of the stand.
To find out more about the collection, visit Pedrali at Hall 10 Stand B15 C28 at the Salone del Mobile from 14 to 19 April.

Pedrali at Salone del Mobile
The experimentation of updated production technologies and varied materials, to create functional furnishings with a contemporary design, are the elements that emerge from Pedrali 2015 collection on display at Salone del Mobile in Milan (Hall 10 stand B15-C28).
Seven brand new families and new models that enrich the existing ones highlight the Company perfectly balanced use of wood and upholstery, alongside metal and plastic materials.
Above all, the collection of seatings for outdoor entirely made of steel evokes the origins of a historical journey which Mario Pedrali started in 1963 with the first metal garden chairs; the die-casted aluminium armchair is elegant and sophisticated, while the choice of concrete for the outdoor table base is natural and bright.
Pedrali magazine New Ideas 2015 maintains its contemporary photo-graphic language and has evolved with an online version, enabling people to get more in-depth information on the collection through additional technical, photographic and video contents. We can now discover the idea behind the various projects directly from the voice of the designers themselves.
The brand continues the collaboration with the designers Jorge Pensi, Patrick Jouin, Marc Sadler, Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo, Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, Pio and Tito Toso, Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli.
For the stand, Migliore + Servetto Architects have portrayed the new collection with signs of light.
Ten luminous frames are the backdrop to the product families presented on various levels within environments defined as photographic sets. The backgrounds display light graphics and coloured geometric signs, outlining the characteristic and iconic scenes of the different products.
The exposition volumes stand out against the perimetral walls, creating a dynamic and evocative landscape with diagonal surfaces and multiple inclinations. In front of each volume the "test areas", where you can touch and try some samples of the products exhibited.
The Tweet seatings, designed by Marc Sadler, will be the leading players of the Salone Satellite conference area, the springboard for young designers under 35. This year the showcase, winner of the 2014 Compasso d'Oro, reaches its eighteenth year and anticipate the EXPO theme of nutrition with five installations in Hall 22-24; free admission.
