Call for entries to the Exhib-it! 2015 competition
Dezeen promotion: entries are open for architects and designers to submit proposals for the inaugural Exhib-it! architecture contest 2015.
Organised by Italian tile manufacturer Florim, the brief requires entrants to design a temporary architectural structure that will act as an exhibition space for images of building works created using the company's products.
The exhibition will take place during the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition from 12 to 17 April 2016 in Florim's Buonaparte flagship store in the centre of Milan.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries, with the winner receiving €6,000 (approximately £4,350) and their design being built in-store.
The runner-up will receive €3,000 (approximately £2,170), while the third prize is €1,000 (approximately £725).
Ten other finalists will receive an honourable mention, and will also be published in various architectural publications.
Entrants are required to submit an A1 sheet detailing the design concept, including plans, facades, renderings, pictures and hand sketches.
An A3 PDF document describing the materials, building technologies and at least two relevant construction details must also be submitted – both can be uploaded at the personal login area on the competition website.
Submissions are being accepted from the 27 October to 24 January 2016, with the winners announcement on the 25 February 2016.

How to create an installation that can, on one hand, embody the Florim brand and, on the other hand, illustrate its achievements?
This first edition of the contest Exhib-it! aims to frame an installation- manifesto that can represent sustainability and quality on one of the most eminent venues for the "Made in Italy"
Milan is, on one hand, a core for Italian economy and, on the other hand, one of the main reference points for international fashion and design. Foro Buonaparte is located in the Brera district near Castello Sforzesco and Via Montenapoleone; this site represents a niche for culture, history, creativity and glamour within the city.
A strong Florim branding campaign focuses on blending architecture with ceramics; this vision leads the restyling of the Florim HQ in Fiorano Modenese, the opening of a flagship store in Moscow and Foro Bonaparte and will lead frame the upcoming opening of Florim's new offices in New York.
Set among the lively streets of the Milan inner city, Foro Bonaparte flagship store offers a 1000sqm dynamic open space. This workshop, event and meeting space faces the streets with 13 shop windows and two LED screens.
For the first time, Florim aims to will host architectural installations in such an eminent space. By offering this opportunity to the worldwide designers' community, Florim aims to catalyse creativity and enforce an international architectural debate
