Competition: Dezeen has teamed up with lighting brand Luceplan to give away three pairs of tickets to an exclusive design talk in New York, plus one Tivedo lamp designed by Sebastian Bergne.
Congratulations to the winners! Adrian Castineira, Emily Freyer and Andres Herrera, who also won the Tivedo lamp.
Industrial designer Francisco Gomez Paz and lighting designer Daniel Rybakken will discuss their latest projects – two new chandeliers for Luceplan – in a conversation moderated by Dezeen founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs.
The oversubscribed event is invitation-only and will take place at Luceplan's showroom in Soho, New York on Saturday 14 May, followed by a cocktail party.
Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken, who has studios in Oslo and Gothenburg, created the Stochastic chandelier for Luceplan. The light feature spheres of glass held at different heights by steel rods, which can be changed to allow for different combinations of the clusters.
His other projects include a table lamp that dims as it moves down a thin vertical stand and a lamp filtered through layers of coloured screens.
Milan-based Gomez Paz, who previously designed an extendable lighting system for Luceplan, created the Mesh chandelier composed of a network of metal cables with LEDs positioned at the intersections. Once lit the net structure creates a scattering of lights.
The Argentinian designer has created lighting products for a range of brands. During this year's Milan design week he unveiled his cordless lamp for Danish-Italian lighting brand Astep, which generates its own electricity and creates enough power to charge a smartphone.
Three winners will each receive a pair of tickets each to the talk, which starts at 4.30pm and will be followed by a cocktail party until 9pm. Winners must provide their own transport and accommodation.
A Tivedo lamp, designed for Luceplan by London-based Sebastian Bergne, will also be awarded to one of the winners. The LED desk light features two arms that are hinged to allow for a wide variation of movement and a swivelling head with a T-shaped grip.
This competition is now closed! Three winners will be selected at random and notified by email, and their name will be published at the top of this page. Dezeen competitions are international and entries are accepted from readers in any country.
