Competition: Dezeen has teamed up with German watchmaker Nomos Glashütte to give readers the chance to win a Tangente watch, which features a mechanical system, Arabic numerals and tempered blue hands (+ slideshow).
Congratulations to the winner! Alexander Cox from the UK
The 35-millimetre unisex watch – a bestselling design since it was first released nearly 25 years ago – has a white silver-plated face and a separate decentralised dial for displaying seconds.
Both the black leather strap, crafted from soft horse leather, and the stainless steel clasp are designed exclusively for Nomos timepieces.
The Tangente features a hand-wound movement, and is built by Nomos in Glashütte – a small town in southeast Germany.
In addition to their production centre, Nomos has an in-house creative agency called Berlinerblau based in Berlin.
Nomos Glashütte is a member of the Deutscher Werkbund movement, a German association established in 1907 of artists, architects, designers, and industrialists that advocates combining traditional craftsmanship and high-tech production methods.
Tangente is available to purchase from selected jewellers across the UK, as well as the Nomos online store.
This competition is now closed. One winner will be selected at random and notified by email, and their name will be published at the top of this page. Dezeen competitions are international and entries are accepted from readers in any country.
