Competition: win a copy of Fiera magazine issue four
Competition: Dezeen is offering readers the chance to win a copy of the fourth issue of Fiera magazine, which picks the best projects by designers exhibited at international design fairs (+ slideshow).
Congratulations to the winners! Subodha Ratnaweera from Sri Lanka, Thom Fougere from Canada, Riley Post from Australia, Phil Smith from the UK and Adam Thompson from the USA.
Issue 4 of Fiera details projects exhibited at IMM Cologne, Maison&Objet in Paris, Reykjavík's DesignMarch and Milan design week with the aim to help new designers reach a wider audience.
The issue explores a range of themes from the design fairs, like the gender balance in Italian design history and the impact of replica furniture sales becoming illegal in the UK.
"There's a wonderful opinion piece about the removal of the feminine from Italian design history, a series of stunning portraits of designers from Nike's The Nature of Motion in Milan, and Hair Highway – a photo story about the sustainable material of the future," founding editor Katie Treggiden told Dezeen.
The magazine begins with Kaleidoscope, which details everything that Treggiden saw across the four fairs, arranged in colour order.
The How It's Made section explores the design and making process behind Studio Swine's Can City, which aims to extend the livelihood's of São Paulo's catadores, who collect waste for recycling.
The issue also features a photo essay by Mark Cocksedge, which includes behind-the-scenes photos of journalists at work taken during a press trip to Reykjavík's DesignMarch.
Treggiden, a design journalist, launched Fiera together with magCulture's Jeremy Leslie in 2014 following a successful Kickstarter campaign.
Previous issues have covered the London Design Festival, Prague's Designblok, Biennale Interieur in Belgium and Lodz Design Week.
"They say when you hit issue four, you officially have a magazine, so we've done it – Issue 4 of Fiera Magazine," said Katie Treggiden.
Five winners will each receive a copy of Issue 4, which is also available to purchase from the Fiera website for £20.
This competition is now closed. Winners will be selected at random and notified by email, and their names will be published at the top of this page. Dezeen competitions are international and entries are accepted from readers in any country.
