Dezeen promotion: the IE School of Architecture and Design in Madrid is inviting architecture and design graduates to enter a pair of competitions, with prizes that include university scholarships and paid internships at international studios.
The IE School of Architecture and Design has opened two international competitions – one for architecture graduates and another for design graduates.
The first competition is the institution's third IE Architecture+ Prize. It is aimed at young architects who graduated between 2014 and 2016, and ranked in the top 25 per cent of their class.
Winner will be awarded admittance to either the IE Master in Design for Work, Retail and Learning Environments, or the IE Master in Architectural Management and Design programme for the 2017 to 2018 academic year. The first prize winner will receive a €11,500 scholarship towards tuition fees, with second and third places receiving smaller scholarship funds.
Entrants are required to present their final project, and will be judged on their ability to clearly convey the main objective and architectural quality of the scheme.
The submission deadline for the IE Architecture+ Prize is 9 September 2016.
The second competition – called the IE Spaces for Innovation Prize – requires applicants to suggest proposals for the future of work, retail and learning environments.
Prizes include full-time paid internships in international design firms and companies, including UNStudio, O+A Studio, Ingenhoven Architects and Viguier et Associes.
The four winners will also be awarded admittance to the IE Master in Design for Work, Retail and Learning Environments programme for the 2017 to 2018 academic year, and will receive a scholarship towards tuition fees.
Entries for the IE Spaces for Innovation Prize must be submitted by 3 October 2016 in a digital format.
