Note Design's Focus divider can be rolled up and stored in a backpack for nomadic office workers who need more privacy (+ slideshow).
Created for office divider brand Zilenzio, the panels come in several sizes. The larger size is suitable for the floor, surrounding an entire workstation, with smaller versions for tabletop usage.
Available in a range of colours, the dividers are made from lightweight materials and have ridged sections that allow them to be easily folded for storage and transportation.
The Focus dividers come at a time when office surveys show workers are suffering from a lack of private space that is limiting their creativity and productivity.
Designers at this year's Stockholm Furniture Fair addressed some of these concerns with a range a of products aimed at reducing background noise.
Note Design intended its Focus Dividers to be easily moved within offices that have flexible working arrangements or seating layouts. They can curve in multiple directions.
"From our experience as designers and nomads, working from hotels and cafes, we often get the feeling that within shared public spaces people need something that helps them create their own space within a larger context," said the studio.
"Focus is a textile space divider, flexible to shape after your needs."
Focus is the latest in a series of portable panels designed to help office workers find privacy in busy environments.
Dutch brand De Vorm combined a felt partition with lighting, creating a divider that served a double purpose, while London studio Layer took a more modular approach, with a tessellating partition system that could be customised using large hemp tiles.
The Focus series will launch at the Orgatec work fair, which takes place in Cologne from 25 to 29 October 2016.
