The second watch from Taiwan-based studio Chi and Chi is now available to buy from Dezeen Watch Store.
Chi and Chi has updated its original design with a high-quality Swiss movement and refined finishes to create the Polygon 02 collection.
The PG02 appears circular from a distance but actually has a faceted case comprising 24 edges, with each representing an hour of the day.
The watch has a minimal white face with engraved minute indications and a date window function, and is available in five colour combinations. The crown is positioned at 2 o'clock.
The brushed stainless-steel case is available in either gold, silver or rose gold and is paired with a black, grey or beige calf-leather strap.
Speaking to Dezeen Watch Store last year, co-founder Stephen Chiu Chi Hung said the brand's first watch almost didn't get made because of the high-precision technique needed to achieve the unique 24-sided shape.
“At the beginning, several manufacturers turned us down because it was so difficult to make,” he said. "We almost needed to redesign the whole watch.”
Formerly full-time designers for other studios, Stephen and his brother Leo set up Chi and Chi in 2013, with an aim to work as closely with manufactures as possible. The brand has since expanded into stationery and lifestyle goods.
Dezeen Watch Store has also recently launched collections by Oslo-based studio Linjer and Glasgow brand Instrmnt.
