Dezeen has teamed up with Sony to give away one of its Glass Sound wireless speakers.
Congratulations to the winner! Samantha Trimby from the UK.
Instead of resembling a traditional speaker, Glass Sound has a cylindrical glass upper section that sits on a pale gold-finished aluminium base.
The design conceals a 50-millimetre woofer in the base, and the speaker also delivers sound through the vibration of its glass.
The device doubles as a dimmable lamp, with an LED filament that mimics ambient candlelight.
"With its sleek, elegant design, it seamlessly integrates into the home," said Sony.
The speaker delivers a 360-degree sound on a frequency similar to human vocal chords.
Users can stream audio from any compatible mobile device, tablet or computer via Bluetooth. There is also an auxiliary connection on the speaker.
Both the volume of the speaker and the brightness of the lamp can be managed remotely through Sony's dedicated smartphone app Songpal, but there is also a control panel hidden in the bottom of the device to adjust settings.
The speaker is part of Sony's Life Space UX range, a concept that provides sensory impact using light, sound and vision, applied in unexpected ways to transform living spaces.
The winner will receive a Sony Glass Sound speaker, which is also available to buy online for £799.
This competition is now closed. A winner will be selected at random and notified by email, and their names will be published at the top of this page.
