Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have used teak wood to create a six-piece collection for Dedon, marking the duo's first collaboration with the German outdoor furniture brand.
The Tibbo collection utilises teak wood, which is a hard, durable timber often used in shipbuilding.
It includes a dining chair, four sizes of dining table, two sizes of bench, a lounge chair and a coffee and side table.
Described by the designers as "tactile and calm", the collection is intended for both indoor and outdoor use.
"The Tibbo collection is significant as it marks our first collaboration with Dedon," said the designers. "The collection is tactile and architecturally calm, which contrasts with the chaotic nature of the outdoors."
"The use of teak in the range, also a first for Dedon, has resulted in a collection that brings the sensibility of indoor furniture outside, with pieces that can work both inside and outside."
Chairs feature "sail-like" textile backs, with turned wood arms and legs. Ten of these chairs can fit around the largest of the dining tables, which spans 3.5 metres in length.
If used outdoors, each piece will naturally develop a silver-grey patina, but if used indoors, it will retain its golden tone.
Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby founded their eponymous studio in 1996. They represented the UK at last year's London Design Biennale, installing a giant weathervane at London's Somerset House.
The duo's recent projects include a minimal wooden table based on Japanese joinery for Galerie Kreo and a "visually calm" office chair for Vitra.
