This shot of design duo Formafantasma has been named the best photograph from nearly 14,000 images posted to the #milanogram2017 hashtag during the world's biggest and most important design fair.
Milan design week is over, and we've sifted through thousands of entries to find the best image posted on Instagram using the #milanogram2017 hashtag.
This photograph of Formafantasma's Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin standing next to their lighting exhibition, which played with geometry, light refractions and shadow, was chosen by our panel of judges as the overall winner.
On show at Spazio Krizia, the installation featured 16 different lighting pieces. It was the Press Choice for the Milano Design Award.
Congratulations to Dutch stylist Marry Broersen for taking the photograph! She wins a £500 voucher to spend at Dezeen Watch Store.
Visitors to Milan's annual design fair were invited to tag their favourite products, installations and highlights with #milanogram2017. The best images were regrammed by Dezeen's account and included in a daily roundup on the site.
We also used Instagram to identify emerging trends and featured the most-shared images in a roundup of highlights. Favoured by designers and institutions including Lee Broom, Karim Rashid and Design Academy Eindhoven, #milanogram2017 was the most comprehensive way to keep up with Milan events.
Our judging panel also selected two runners up. Second place went to Dutch product designer Matthijs Kok, who took this selfie surrounded by bubbles emitted by COS x Studio Swine's tree-like installation.
Third place was given to French photographer Jo Yana for this image of Milan's favourite drink, an Aperol Spritz, which he decided to enjoy after a hectic week at the fair.
The judging panel included Dezeen's editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs, editor Amy Frearson and social media editor Trudie Carter.
