Dezeen has teamed up with Aram Store in London to offer two readers the chance to win a Sag stool designed by Japanese studio Nendo.
The competition coincides with the opening of Aram's new display, dedicated to Italian furniture brand MDF Italia. Aram has developed a strong relationship with the brand, having collaborated with them for a number of years.
The 100-square-metre space will act as MDF Italia's UK flagship store, showcasing a selection of dining, lounge and storage furniture.
One piece to feature in the space is Nendo's Sag stool. The stool, which doubles as a side table, is designed as a single base shape folded on itself through a moulding process that gives it a soft, elastic look.
The stool base has a matt finish and is available in white or mud brown. The seat comes in either corresponding finishes or a contrasting bamboo veneer.
Two readers will each win a Sag stool – one in mud polyurethane and one in white polyurethane.
"Employing the latest technology and materials, Nendo has manipulated polyurethane into a polyhedral shape through the moulding process,' said Ruth Aram, director of the Aram Store.
"This has resulted in an attractive, curving structure which is inherently strong and due to the spongy top surface is also comfortable to sit on and waterproof. As with all the best stool designs, it also doubles as a side table."
Aram was founded in 1964 by Zeev Aram with the mission to bring the best modern design to London from around the world. Since moving to a new, much larger showroom space in Drury Lane, Covent Garden, the company has expanded to offer a wider range of contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories.
MDF Italia was founded by designer Bruno Fattorini in 1992 and was acquired by the Cassina family in 2013. It now collaborates with many designers, including Rodolfo Dordoni, Neuland Industriedesign, Jean-Marie Massaud and Nendo.
Aram's MDF Italia space officially launches Wednesday 7 June at Aram Store, 110 Drury Lane, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5SG. Dezeen readers are invited to go along to the drinks event from 6 to 9pm.
