Dezeen is giving five readers the chance to win one of Canadiano's pour-over coffee makers, which are each crafted from a single block of wood.
The coffee maker was designed by Canadian company Canadiano in collaboration with local lumberjacks.
Six months of research on coffee, wood-working techniques and metal fabrication technology went into the design, and it comes in ash, oak, walnut and cherry woods.
It utilises the pour-over method of brewing coffee, a slower preparation method that gives users more control over strength and flavour, but its stainless steel filter negates the need for disposable paper filters.
Coffee and hot water are added to a curved hollow at the top of the product. The mixture then runs through the stainless-steel filter, which has been adapted to control flow-rate for smooth-tasting results.
The variety of woods used to make the coffee makers is meant to complement different beans from around the world. While the walnut model is best paired with darker, earthier roasts, the cherry edition is best for beans with nutty or slightly citrus flavours.
Four winners will receive their choice of Canadiano's ash, oak, walnut or cherry wood models. One winner will receive the brand's special DoubleDouble edition, which is able to brew and serve two cups of coffee at the same time.
The Canadiano is also available to buy online for USD $36, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
