Dezeen has won two more awards for online journalism, scooping the Editorial Team of the Year and the Best Use of Video categories at the Association of Online Publishers Awards in London last night.
In the editorial category, the AOP jury praised Dezeen's coverage of Brexit and commended our journalistic innovation.
"The jury were impressed by your leadership on key community issues such as Brexit, and applaud your innovative approaches to engaging with your audience through content," they wrote.
Initiatives that caught the jury's eye included our Brexit Design Manifesto and Dezeen Hot List.
During the judging period, our unique visitors grew nearly 11 per cent to over 20 million and visits grew 8.5 per cent to almost 50 million.
For the video category, Dezeen was praised for its strong audience growth and pioneering use of movies on Facebook and Instagram. In 2016, we smashed all our records for video, growing plays across our channels by over 500 per cent. We achieved over 33 million plays on Facebook alone. Check out our latest movies ›
"Dezeen has transformed its approach to video, impressively growing engagement to strengthen its brand, turning around its business commercially by developing social video into a lucrative new revenue stream," the AOP said.
Dezeen beat entrants including British GQ and Vice UK to win the video award.
The haul follows our victory in the BSME Talent Awards earlier this month, where Dezeen's managing editor Olivia Mull wont the Best Content Idea award for Dezeen Hot List.
Dezeen has now won a total of four AOP awards, which are considered the highest accolades in UK digital publishing.
In 2015 Dezeen won the AOP award for Best Commercial Partnership for the "truly creative and innovative" Dezeen and MINI Frontiers project, while in 2012 we were named Digital Business Publisher of the Year.
In 2014 we were highly commended in the AOP's Website of the Year category, with the jury describing the site as "stunningly beautiful".
