Dezeen promotion: Italian brand Fantoni has collaborated with design studio Metrica to create a range of office tables made from solid oak and beech, which aim to bring a softer look to work environments.
The Woods collection is the latest range of office furniture from Fantoni. It follows on from the Hub modular desk units launched last year, which can be reconfigured depending on the working scenario.
Working alongside Milanese design studio Metrica, the brand wanted to come up with a flexible solution that would cater to ever-evolving workspaces.
They wanted the modular pieces to appear solid, while also bringing a home-like feel to the office.
"Woods is a complete series of tables, created following reflection on new ways of working and on how the workplace is changing," said the brand.
"[It's] a collection that can switch from clerical to executive simply by changing the combination of tops and legs, with an interplay that maintains consistency of design and allows for numerous different layouts."
Included in the collection are large executive and meeting tables, fixed office desks and height-adjustable workstations.
The latter feature sloping legs that disguise an electronic mechanism, giving office workers the ability to alter their workspace to suit their needs.
Other electrical connections are hidden under the tabletop, and tables can also be fitted with fitted with other storage accessories and USB sockets for recharging devices.
The Fantoni Group was founded by Achille Fantoni in 1882. Since then, it has become known for its office furniture, partition and storage wall systems, MD and chipboard panels, melamine flooring and acoustic products.
