Wilsonart expands Quartz collection of greyscale solid-surface materials
Dezeen promotion: white marble, concrete and charcoal are among the designs Wilsonart has added to its collection of greyscale laminate surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms.
Wilsonart, which manufactures and distributes engineered surfaces, developed the greyscale Quartz collection in textures mimicking marble, concrete and metals.
It aims to provide high-end long-lasting surfaces that are suited to both residential and commercial projects.
"Classic and timeless, these designs will shine on their own and provide the perfect opportunity to showcase an authentic, personalised design story," said Wilsonart design manager Natalia Smith.
Among the eight new additions is Empire State – a grey surface speckled with white and charcoal – and its paler alternative called Manhattan.
A huge vein runs through Lucca, while Marrara is reminiscent of the classic Carrara marble quarried in Tuscany.
Other designs include the charcoal and grey Versailles, which is reflective, and the white Lazio patterned with colourful and grey grains.
The brand has also focused on creating a high-end feel in previous collections, including one based on the theme of "timeless luxury" and another featuring neutral tones and textures, like linen, marble and silvery oak.
Founded in 1956, Wilsonart manufactures and distributes engineered surfaces, including solid-surface, quartz and specialty laminate. The company launched its expanded Quartz collection during the 2017 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in Orlando.
