Dezeen has teamed up with The Conran Shop to give one reader the chance to win a sofa from its updated Build Your Own upholstery collection, which they can customise from a range of designs, fabrics, and colours.
The Conran Shop's Build Your Own concept allows customers to design their own unique and bespoke sofa, which can be created from a range of 15 designs, six fabrics, and 42 colours – offering over 2000 combinations.
Velvet, linen, cotton, and wool are among the different fabrics to choose from and are available in a number of colours – including navy, avocado, forest and dusty rose.
The winner also gets to choose the style of the sofa from the brand's 15 collections – Newman, Lennox, Hepburn, Marlon, Chiltern, Plato Sofa bed, Float sofa bed, Wallace, Rex, Lavenham, Harper, Clarence, Elsa, Planar, and Elgin.
The Conran Shop offers a curated collection of modern and vintage furniture, lighting, gifts, and personal accessories, designed by both established and emerging designers.
Founded by Terence Conran in 1974, the store now has 10 outposts across the world – with three shops in London, one in Paris, and six in Japan.
"The Conran Shop aims to inspire and excite through collections that reflect the way we live," said the company. "Simple functionality, considered design and the latest innovation are the foundation of our philosophy."
The competition does not include leather sofa options. The winner will need to travel to London's Chelsea or Marylebone store to choose their sofa. Once ordered, the sofa is expected to take six to eight weeks to produce and deliver – depending on the model and fabric choice.
