Google and Instagram are among the leading global brands Dezeen is working with in Milan next week, in what is shaping up to be our busiest Milan design week ever.
We will also be teaming up with 3D software company Dassault Systèmes, bathroom brand Grohe and furniture brand Driade on projects throughout the week, as well as continuing our longstanding collaborations with car brand MINI and Dutch design brand Moooi.
In addition, we are once again media partners with Ventura Projects, which is launching its new Ventura Future show, the successor to the well-known Ventura Lambrate district from previous years.

Design in the age of Instagram talk

As part of our collaboration with Instagram to launch its new @design account, Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs will host a panel discussion with Instagram's head of design Ian Spalter, designer Yves Behar, Cabana magazine founder Martina Mondadori Sartogo and style journalist Michelle Ogundehin.
The event is invitation-only, but we will be livestreaming the talk live on our Instagram channel. Dezeen and the contributors selected from our earlier call-out will also be posting regular content to the @design account throughout the week.

Soft Futures talk at Google's Softwear show
17 April
To coincide with Google and trend forecaster Li Edelkoort's Softwear installation, Dezeen will host a talk exploring how technology can better integrate with people's lifestyles.
The talk will feature a panel including Edelkoort, Google Hardware's head of design Ivy Ross and The Future Laboratory co-founder Martin Raymond.
This is an invitation-only event, but keep a look out for the livestream on Dezeen.

Design Dreams talk at Moooi's A Life Extraordinary exhibition
18 April
Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs will speak to Dutch designer Maarten Baas about how he realised his dream to become a designer in the latest talk in our Design Dreams collaboration with Dutch design brand Moooi.
This is another invite-only event. However, we will be broadcasting it live on our Facebook channel so anyone around the world can tune in to watch it.
The talk will take place at Moooi's A Life Extraordinary exhibition, which will present the brand's latest furniture and lighting collections amongst huge hanging drawings of imaginary extinct animals.
Bridging the Gap talk at Dassault Systemes' Design in the Age of Experience exhibition

Dezeen will speak with Anne Asensio of Dassault Systèmes, automobile designer Chris Bangle and product designer Patrick Jouin in a panel discussion about how technology can improve innovation and collaboration in the design community.
The talk will take place at Dassault Systèmes' Design in the Age of Experience exhibition, which will feature installations by Kengo Kuma, Daan Roosegaarde and Superflux exploring how design can tackle air pollution.

Dezeen x MINI Living talk at MINI Living – Built By All installation
20 April, 6:00pm
Designers Nina Tolstrup of Studiomama and Mario Minale of Minale-Maeda will be joined by Design Academy Eindhoven creative director Joseph Grima and Oke Hauser of MINI Living in our latest Dezeen x MINI Living talk.
The panel discussion, which will take place at the MINI Living – Built by All installation, will explore how growing trends in mass customisation and the democratisation of design could impact the spaces we live in.

Driade Moon Mission
To mark the 50-year-anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, Italian brand Driade has worked with Studio Nucleo to transform some of its most iconic furniture pieces into 3D-printed versions fit for future life on the moon. Dezeen will be making a short film about the installation during the week.

Atrio by Grohe
Bathroom brand Grohe will use water and LED screens to create an installation showcasing its new Atrio Spa collection of taps. Look out for Dezeen's captioned video about the installation on our social media channels next week.

Containerwerk x Friends
German start-up Containerwerk will present its latest proposals for creating tiny homes from shipping containers in Milan this year, which Dezeen will document via a short video published after Milan design week.
Ventura Future
Dezeen is media partner for Dutch organisation Ventura Projects new Ventura Future exhibition, which will showcase work by emerging designers to tackle important world issues across three venues in central Milan.
