Cover Cover consists entirely of cover pages, which are hand sewn together. The first of these eight-page gatefolds are very fine in weight, but they become thicker and thicker as you progress through the book.
This format was devised by Amsterdam-based Irma Boom to reference the many layers that feature in Viktor & Rolf's garments.
The pages showcase sketches, catwalk photography and studio shot by celebrated photographers including Tim Walker and Inez & Vinoodh. All of these images are inverted, so that they appear as negatives.
"Celebrated for challenging the convention of traditional books, Boom has created an object that mirrors Viktor&Rolf's signature style and serves as an homage to the spectacle of fashion," said publisher Phaidon.
"From the interiors spreads to the pink acetate jacket complete with V&R seal, Cover Cover is an object of beauty to be explored and treasured."
Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren launched their fashion label in 1998, after studying together at the Academy of Art and Design Arnhem.
The duo's main focus is haute couture, although they have produced a handful of ready-to-wear collections, including one with high-street brand H&M.
To mark their 25th anniversary, they recently unveiled the all-white Immaculate couture collection, which revisited 25 of their most iconic past designs.
Phaidon is giving away three copies of Viktor & Rolf Cover Cover. The volume is available to buy for £150 from the publisher's website.
Competition closes 14 August 2018. Three winners will be selected at random and notified by email, and their names will be published at the top of this page.
