Dezeen founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs has been named Digital Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors.
Judges described Dezeen as "inspirational and aspirational, understanding and doing fresh, original web journalism".
The trophy was presented at the BSME Awards ceremony in London last night, where Fairs beat editors from prestigious titles including Wired, Esquire, Elle and Harper's Bazaar to win the title.
This is the third time that Fairs has won at the BSMEs, which are considered the most prestigious awards for UK editors. In 2013 he was named Business Web Editor of the Year.
In 2005 he won the BSME's Brand Building Initiative of the Year award for the Icon Design Trail, which he created while editor of Icon magazine.
Earlier this year Fairs was named one of the 1,000 most influential people in London by the Evening Standard.
