Dezeen has launched an account on WeChat, the giant Chinese social media, messaging and payment network.
Unveiled at the Design Shanghai fair in China last week, the fledgling account will initially include Dezeen content in both Mandarin and English.
Micha Weidmann, the graphic designer who created Dezeen's identity and designed our website, has created a special version of our logo for Chinese readers. It features the Chinese characters for "design magazine" above the famously lopsided Dezeen wordmark.
The Dezeen team was in Shanghai last week to launch the account and to participate in the Assembly talks at the Design Shanghai trade fair, and the Festival of Design conference organised by Design Republic.
WeChat is the dominant platform in China for everything from messaging and digital publishing to social media and payments. It has over one billion active users.
