Competition: win a Dawn to Dusk lamp by Haberdashery
In our latest competition, we've teamed up with Clerkenwell Design Week for its 10th anniversary to give away a floor lamp by London design studio Haberdashery.
This competition is now closed. Congratulations to the winner, which is Elaine Patterson from Southport, England.
The Dawn to Dusk floor lamp is making its UK debut during this year's Clerkenwell Design Week, which takes place from 21 to 23 May.
Haberdashery is hosting an installation at Light – an exhibition dedicated to top international lighting brands – to celebrate Dawn to Dusk winning the Best of the Best Red Dot Design award 2019. The exhibition will see products displayed within the brick vaults of world-famous nightclub Fabric.
We're giving readers the chance to win a floor lamp from the Dawn to Dusk collection, in celebration of the design week's 10th anniversary.
The lamp emits a low-intensity red glow when initially turned on, mimicking the sun at its lowest point.
The disc-shaped light source then shifts from red to orange as it is moved up the stem, followed by soft peach tones, before eventually turning pure white when lifted all the way to the top, emulating the midday sun.
Available as a floor lamp and a side light, both versions boast a flat disc-shaped light source that changes colour as the user manually moves it up and down its central black stem.
The lamp can also be rotated 360 degrees around the stand to suit the user's desired mood. It can be faced into a room, for instance, or cast up a wall surface to create a warm ambience.
Alternatively, it can function as a more concentrated, forward-facing 2700-kelvin task light.
"Dawn to Dusk is designed to connect with an audience's personal memories of light in a way more visceral than we are used to seeing from the lighting market," explained Ben Rigby, creative director and co-founder of Haberdashery.
"We want to bring a smile to your face and warmth into your space."
Dawn to Dusk is the second collection in Haberdashery's Evoke lighting range. Rigby founded the London-based design studio with Mac Cox in 2010.
Clerkenwell Design Week takes place annually across seven venues in London, including Fabric, the crypt of St James's church, House of Detention and more.
More than 300 exhibitors and 100 showrooms take part in the event, which will also host an extensive talks programme and a number of specially commissioned
installations. To find out more or to register for a free ticket, visit the website.
Competition closes 28 May 2019. One winner will be selected at random and notified by email, and his or her name will be published at the top of this page.
