Dezeen promotion: Ermenegildo Zegna has unveiled My Claudio, its latest range of personalised trainers available in a striking array of colour combinations.
It is the luxury Italian fashion brand's second collection of customisable sneakers, following the recent launch of My Cesare, which it dubbed as "the future of luxury streetwear".
Ultralight, versatile, and instantly iconic, My Claudio is characterised by an intricately hand-threaded lace that weaves in and around the entire sneaker, nodding to "the craftsmanship that defines Ermenegildo Zegna".
"Claudio is inspired by the worlds of streetwear and luxury craftsmanship together," explained the brand.
"Its light touch and versatile design means you can wear with a suit, a t-shirt, jeans, or trousers. Dress up or down for all occasions and events."
My Claudio has been developed by Ermenegildo Zegna to have a chunky silhouette and be both ultra-light and shock absorbing.
The body of each pair is made from smooth calf leathers, which are available in 10 different Pantone colours.
In addition to the body, wearers can also personalise the colour of the statement laces – available in 12 different hues – and choose from three options of the shock-absorbing midsoles.
Each My Claudio trainer is complete with Ermenegildo Zegna's signature handmade-leather XXX logo, which will have the same colour finish as its sole.
This triple X iconography has been defined over the years as a leitmotif for the brand by its artistic director, Alessandro Sartori, since debuting his first collection at the helm of Ermenegildo Zegna during Autumn/Winter 2017.
Similarly to the launch of the My Cesare, My Claudio was launched alongside a striking campaign designed by London-based creative directors DJA, which is informed by the graphics and typefaces of ancient Rome.
My Claudio is now available to purchase and personalise in selected stores. Find out more at the Ermenegildo Zegna website.
