Dezeen promotion: international trade fair Warsaw Home returns this October with furniture brands such as Magis and Moroso, and its first exhibition space for young designers.
Located in Nadarzyn, a village just outside the Polish capital, the four-day international trade fair will take place from 3 to 6 October 2019 inside the Ptak Warsaw Expo exhibition halls.
The event will see a variety of interior design and furnishing products exhibited by brands such as German bathroom and kitchen manufacturer Grohe and Italian design firm Pedrali.
The latest products from Italian design brands Magis and Moroso will also be on show at the fair.
The trade fair will be split into five distinct zones: Selected Design and Selected Furniture, Kitchen and Dining, Interior Finish and Deco.
In total, 800 exhibitors from the furniture, decoration, finishing and accessories sectors will be attending the event.
According to the organisers of Warsaw Home, the event is a platform for business development and discussion of design-led ideas, experiences and knowledge.
The trade fair also features a Design Forum section, where experts in the design industry come together to discuss important issues in the sector.
Speakers for this year's edition include Studio Job founder Job Smeets and Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs.
Swedish designer Matti Klenell, who recently helped furnish Stockholm's Nationalmuseum, will also be speaking at the Design Forum, responding to the statement, "I am".
According to the organisers, the statement accentuates the importance of participation, as the event would not be possible without the creators who showcase their work, and the enthusiasts who visit to find inspiration.
This theme will be highlighted over the course of the fair in a series of panel discussions, lectures and workshops.
Warsaw Home will also debut IDEAS, an exhibition space for young designers. The organisers hope IDEAS will help new talent by offering a platform to present their prototypes and products.
"We believe [young designers] can establish a successful cooperation with business clients attending the trade fair," said Warsaw Home. "We hope that many ideas can turn into objects that would go into production."
Over the past three years, the amount of international visitors to Warsaw Home has grown from 16 per cent in 2017 to 29 per cent in 2018, and this is predicted to rise even further to 37 per cent at the 2019 edition.
Warsaw Home will be open on 4 to 5 October to businesses and representatives from the industry exclusively, and open to all visitors from 6 to 7 October.
