This week on Dezeen, Pornhub launched its Dirtiest Porn Ever campaign to remove plastic from the oceans, and BMW released a Vantablack version of its X6 coupe.
Adult video website Pornhub released a movie titled Dirtiest Porn Ever, which is filmed on a beach covered with litter in a bid to raise money to remove plastic from the world's oceans.
Launched as part of the Pornhub Cares initiative, the film aims to demonstrate "how plastic and waste can ruin an otherwise beautiful scene", and is accompanied by a website that advises its viewers how they can help avoid single-use plastics ending up in the ocean.
BMW also hit the headlines this week after it spray-painted its X6 coupe in Vantablack – the "world's blackest black" pigment that absorbs over 99 per cent of light.
The BMW VBX6 is billed by the brand to be the "first and only vehicle in the world" to feature a Vantablack VBx2 coating, which almost entirely removes all reflections to make the car appear to lose its three-dimensional shape.
In other transport news, the Laview commuter train designed by Japanese architect Kazuyo Sejima was pictured in operation between Tokyo and Saitama.
The train features a curved glass nose and huge windows that allow passengers to enjoy panoramic views from their sofa-like seats, which are upholstered in a bright yellow material.
Elsewhere in Japan, construction began on the country's tallest building designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, which is set to reach completion by 2023.
Planned to be around 330 metres high, the main tower of the Tokyo skyscraper will be approximately 30 metres taller than Japan's current tallest building – the Abeno Harukas skyscraper in Osaka.
Burning man was also in the spotlight this week, as installations, pavilions and stages at this year's event were captured by festival-goers and shared on Instagram.
Designs from this year's Burning Man are intended to respond to the theme Metamorphoses, such as Benjamin Langholz's installation of 27 elevated stones that form a climbing frame around a central pillar.
Other projects popular with readers this week included a cedar-clad home in the Danish countryside by Christoffersen Welling Architects, an intimate guesthouse in the Scottish highlands, and André Fu's furnishing of an apartment in Jean Nouvel's MoMA tower.
