Apple has launched an iPhone with three different cameras for ultra-wide photos, along with its latest Apple Watch, enlarged iPad and a subscription service for Apple original movies.
The latest collection of products and services were revealed at Apple's launch event at the Foster + Partners-designed Apple Park campus in California.
The iPhone 11 Pro, which was revealed by CEO Tim Cook, comes with three camera lenses on its back in a triangular arrangement. This "triple-camera system" enables ultra-wide footage.
It comes in Pro and Pro Max sizes and is "far and away the best camera we've ever made," said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
The largest of the iPhone 11 Pro's lenses offers the ability to capture a greater field of view, and according to the company is great for taking landscape photos in addition to up-close shots.
The system "provides pro-level camera experience" with three scales: ultra-wide, wide and standard, which can be chosen while using Apple's Camera app.
According to the company, the latest iPhone 11 Pro is "the most powerful and advanced smartphone" that Apple has ever made.
It comes in four finishes of dark grey, silver, gold and a new dark green colour. The bands that wrap around the edges of the phone are textured matte glass back and polished stainless steel.
The two new models also have Apple's highest pixel and retina displays, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max has the longest battery life ever in an iPhone.
The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max were revealed alongside several other new products and features.
Joining the line-up is the iPhone 11, which features Apple's enhanced camera design but with two lenses stacked on top of one another for a "dual-camera system".
The phone is available in six colours and has a new glass shell, which Apple claims is the "toughest glass ever in a smartphone".
In June Apple launched a dark display mode, which is available on the new iPhone and all new operating systems. Another feature carried throughout the new smartphones is an A13 Bionic chip for a faster performance.
Also revealed at the launch was the iPadOS operating system designed for multitasking, and featured on a new iPad with a larger retina display, as well as Apple TV Plus, a subscription service that offers Apple original movies and television series.
Apple Watch Series 5 was also released, with a face that will be "always on display" and no longer darkened when you lower your wrist.
Several sensors and an 18-hour battery life are integrated into the watch, as well as a built-in compass and emergency calling via a side button that works without an iPhone.
The finishes for the Apple Watch Series 5 are made with 100 per cent recycled aluminium. Additional models come in stainless steel, two new titanium finishes and a ceramic version in white.
As part of the watch launch, Apple has begun a series of health studies that watch-users will be able to opt into using the new Apple Research app.
A study for women's health is being led by Harvard School of Health and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and a heart movement study is being done by Apple with the American Heart Associaton. Another study is being led by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the University of Michigan.
Rounding out the launches at the event is Apple Arcade, a game subscription service for phone, desktop and TV. It will provide over 100 games accessed in the Apple app store. New games will be added every month, in addition to editorial content and game guides.
