Lace, bows, flowers and pearls feature in the Candelaria collection by Viennese fashion house Narbon, in a celebration of maximalist femininity.
Here, contrasting styles from embellished baroque jackets to diamante bustiers are united by a tendency towards the extravagant.
Meanwhile, intricate detailing is created through techniques such as embroidery, beading and appliqué to add an element of modern craftsmanship.
Designer Patricia Narbón sees her collections as a "canvas for painting bigger pictures laden with artistic, cultural and social references" – ranging from nature to her Spanish heritage and surrealist art.
Despite creating demi-couture collections, which employ haute couture craft practices at a more affordable price point, Narbón prides herself in her cruelty-free, ethical production methods and materials.
Narbon is one of 15 designers being spotlighted at the Virtual Design Festival by Austrianfashion.net –a platform championing designers who are born or based in Austria.
