VDF products fair: The AR-Studio app by Jung uses augmented reality to help users visualise its range of products and fittings within an interior space.
Developed for use on both tablets and smartphones, the app is intended as a planning tool for architects, planners and property owners.
Users can superimpose models of over 2,000 of the brand's switches, lights and sockets on a wall by placing a sticker, named a Jung Experience Marker, at the fixture's desired location.
Viewing this marker through the app then produces a virtual version of the fixture in its place, and allows users to see it with different material finishes and from various angles in live-time.
The AR-Studio app is available in German and English and free to download via mobile app stores.
"The new Jung AR-Studio app is a creative planning tool enabling builders, planners, architects and principals to better visualise their ideas and to realise and configure them in augmented reality scenarios," said the German building-technology supplier.
"Surfaces, materials and colours can be seen like real photos anytime, everywhere and Jung products and solutions can be depicted and positioned virtually in space."
