Milton Glaser features in today's Dezeen Weekly newsletter
The latest edition of our Dezeen Weekly newsletter includes news of graphic designer Milton Glaser's death.
Readers are saddened to learn that Glaser, best known for designing the iconic "I ♥ New York" logo in 1977, passed away earlier this week on his 91st birthday. He was in New York at the time.
A career spanning over 60 years saw Glaser co-found New York magazine, design posters for Bob Dylan and create logos for Brooklyn Brewery and DC Comics.
Designer Jonathan Barnbrook wrote a tribute on Facebook, which read: "One of the most influential designers in the history of design. "I can't think of a designer who will be more missed by our community."
Other stories in this week's newsletter include seven hotels and houses on the Greek island of Santorini designed by local studio Kapsimalis Architects, a gabled house in Slovakia and interior designer Meena Krenek's proposal for a post-coronavirus workplace.
