British lighting brand Anglepoise is showing a selection of lamps as part of the Dezeen x Planted collaboration during this year's London Design Festival to draw attention to the lifetime guarantee it now offers.
To demonstrate its commitment to creating durable, long-lasting lamps, Anglepoise has introduced a lifetime guarantee for its products to reduce the chance of them ending in landfill.
"Anglepoise introduced a lifetime guarantee on all of its products as a response to the current trend of products built without longevity in mind and destined for landfill," said the brand.
The commitment to making products that last a lifetime will cover all of its domestic products including the Anglepoise Original 1227 Brass Desk Lamp Ink Blue, which is a reinterpretation of the Model 1227, which was first introduced in 1935.
Lamps designed for the home like the recently introduced Type 75 Mini Table lamp (pictured top) and 90 Mini Mini (pictured below) are also included.
As part of its commitment Anglepoise will aim to repair lamps that have problems wherever possible. If the lamp can not be repaired the lighting brand will replace in and responsibly recycle the old light.
