Autex adds colours informed by 1970s nostalgia and earthy hues to acoustic panel range
Dezeen promotion: acoustic design company Autex has added six new colours to its range of Cube acoustic panels.
Drawing influence from expert forecasting, the new colours are intended to keep the Cube range up-to-date with the latest interior trends.
"From yolky sunrise yellow to subtle dusky purple, our six new Cube colours span the full chromatic spectrum – a rich offering of refreshing, contemporary hues to round out the Cube colour range," said the brand.
The additional colours were designed to complement the existing collection.
"Like their Cube palette counterparts, the new colours get their names from iconic architectural masterpieces," said Autex. "A nod to the past for the designs of the future."
"Whether it's a pop, a splash, or a feature wall, we can't wait to see the new colours come to life in your space."
Two of the newly introduced colours – a warm, honey-yellow called Beehive and a plum red named Sargazo – were designed to evoke a sense of 1970s nostalgia.
Taking inspiration from another design trend, the jade green Gherkin and earthy fawn Parthenon were informed by the growing popularity of biophilic design.
The final new pairing was created to encourage relaxation and tranquillity in interior spaces.
Cavalier has a dusky purple hue, while Muralla is a twilight blue.
As with the rest of the colours in the Cube range, Muralla, Cavalier, Beehive, Sargazo, Gherkin and Parthenon are available across a range of Autex interior acoustic products including Frontier, Horizon, and Vicinity desk screens.
Each of the panels is made from 100 per cent polyester fibre, with a minimum of 60 per cent recycled Polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
The versatile and lightweight Cube panels can be used as ceiling and wall coverings, dividers, and standalone features in a wide variety of interior environments.
