Australian furniture brand King has presented five collections of furniture for the home and garden on Dezeen Showroom, including dining tables, outdoor chairs and modular sofas.
Across the different collections, King showcases a catalogue of outdoor seating furniture, including chairs and sofas, as well as a range of desks and dining tables.
Named after the Japanese word for "together", Issho is a dining table with sculptural plinth bases that can be arranged into different configurations to suit the occasion.
The table features a tabletop made from natural timber in either a circular or rectangular shape, while the plinths are made from structural foam moulded around a steel spine and finished in timber veneer. This makes them lightweight enough to move around easily.
Zaza is a modular two- or three-seater sofa by industrial designer Charles Wilson, which is available in both indoor and outdoor versions. The sofa features cosy, deep seats with foam cushioning supported by an engineered steel base, which comes in either a light or dark finish.
The outdoor version has adjustable arms and backrests that fold down flat to transform the sofa into a bed, and also includes removable cushion covers in various weather-resistant textiles.
Also created by the Australian designer for King is Luna, an outdoor chair with a steel mesh seat and a frame made from precision-welded bent steel.
The chair is characterised by its organically-shaped bucket seat and comes in an array of earthy colours including salt, rock, eucalyptus and blush.
Fleur is a highly customisable one-piece sofa with a folding backrest that accommodates both reclined and upright positions, as well as adjustable arms to suit user preferences.
The sofa, which has been designed to reflect the laidback Australian lifestyle, has removable cushion covers that are available in a range of leather and fabric options to make them easy to clean and replace when needed.
Australian designer Tom Fereday has updated King's Eto collection of tables to include desks in a response to the ever-growing need for practical workspaces in the home.
The range also includes a coffee table, a side table and round dining tables in a number of different sizes.
The Eto desk is composed of a slender timber veneer tabletop that sits atop a powder-coated steel base. Built-in features have been added to cater to workspace functionality, such as integrated wireless charging and cable-management systems.
Founded in 1977, King is an Australian furniture brand based in Sydney that also operates in New Zealand, across Asia and North America.
The brand's in-house team designs and manufactures furniture for outdoors, dining, home offices and the bedroom, and King also regularly collaborates with local designers, craftsmen and engineers.
