In our latest competition, we have teamed up with Fritz Hansen to give away three pairs of N02 Recycle counter chairs in monochrome light blue.
This competition is now closed.
Designed in collaboration with Japanese studio Nendo, Danish brand Fritz Hansen has created new editions of its 2019 N02 Recycle chair, which is made from recycled plastic household waste that was processed and upcycled in central Europe.
The N02 Recycle chair was awarded the EU Ecolabel – the official European environmental certification – in 2020, confirming that the chair meets the European Union's ecological requirements.
As well as being made from upcycled plastic, the N02 Recycle chair can itself be recycled at the end of its life, helping to create a circular economy.
Inspired by a folded piece of paper on Nendo founder Oki Sato's studio table, the chair's simple design provides support for both the upper and lower back.
The most recent version comes in a variety of forms including with or without armrests, bar and counter heights and four-legged, sledge and swivel base versions, to suit both work and social spaces.
It also features a new transport dolly and invisible protection for stool footrests.
"We wanted to do a versatile, plastic stacking chair in recycled materials," said Fritz Hansen's head of design Christian Andresen.
"Collaborating with studio Nendo meant the design would be simple and elegant – the perfect blend of Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics."
Three winners will each win a pair of N02 Recycle counter chairs in monochrome light blue.
The chairs are also available in six other colours inspired by earthy, warm tones in Scandinavian nature – including vibrant orange, a saturated dark blue and a pale grey.
The N02 Recycle counter chair measures 99.3 centimetres by 54.1 centimetres by 51.8 centimetres.
