Dezeen Showroom: Spanish brand CristalCeramicas has released a collection of multipurpose porcelain tiles informed by the natural stone found in northern Europe.
The durable tiles can be used in a wide range of settings including indoor and outdoor environments, such as public areas with high foot traffic. The tile's technical performance and anti-slip rating enables them to be used as flooring, on walls or as cladding.
The tiles are characterised by their tonal variations of natural stone, which are "beautifully reproduced thanks to the innovations of modern ink-jet printing techniques," according to CristalCeramicas area manager Trini Franco.
"The Calcaria formats ooze warmth and are aesthetically pleasing, suiting both contemporary and traditional environments," continued Franco.
The tiles are available in a palette of four warm and neutral hues, including Marron, Beige, Graffito and Gris.
The Calcaria range is designed to offer a long-lasting choice for architects and designers as the tiles are durable, simple to install and easy to maintain. They come in four formats of varying sizes to suit a wide range of settings.
CristalCeramicas is part of Tile of Spain, an association of over 100 Spanish tile manufacturers.
