Dezeen Showroom: Spanish tile brand Roca has released a series of glazed porcelain tiles that mimic the appearance of limestone to offer a sense of "essential neutrality".
As its name suggests, the Limestone tiles have been digitally printed to replicate the texture and luminous qualities of the natural raw material.
The tiles contain 25 per cent recycled content and itself can be recycled, providing a sustainable option for architects and designers. The tiles are durable and suited for use as wall coverings or flooring.
The Limestone tiles come in multiple formats to offer a versatile option for a wide range of contemporary interiors.
"Limestone is a classical and timeless proposal aimed at simple and essential interiors," said Roca.
"Shades and a mix of reflections bring life and realism to a collection inspired by limestone compounds to echo the luminescence or nuance of these surfaces."
Amongst the formats available is a 31 x 61 centimetre option that comes with an anti-slip finish, which means the tiles can seamlessly segue from indoor to outdoor settings, such as terraces or patios.
The tiles come in a palette of four neutral colours in both warm and cool tones, including Blanco, Gris, Vison and Arena.
Roca is part of Tile of Spain, an association of over 100 Spanish tile manufacturers.
