"It was a real privilege to head up a judging panel made up of awesome humans"
Environmental design writer and Dezeen Awards 2021 master juror Katie Teggiden recorded a video message for today's show.
"It was a real privilege to head up a judging panel of awesome humans and to really explore everything that has been worked on and developed in those three areas and to pick three really worthy winners," she said.
Winners selected by master jury
As well as Treggiden, other master jurors for the sustainability categories included Nick Shute of Dodds & Shute, Seetal Solanki of Ma-tt-er, interior designer Simon Hamilton, Lay Koon Tan of Nature Squared and Taiwanese architect Arthur Huang.
Working remotely, the judges reviewed all shortlisted projects and chose the winners using Dezeen Awards' unique trio of judging criteria that call for entries that are beautiful, innovative and beneficial.
