Dezeen has scooped the prize for best media brand at the Professional Publishers Association's annual awards for independent publishers.
Professional Publishers Association (PPA) judges praised Dezeen for our record-breaking traffic, the way we adapted to the coronavirus pandemic and the new services we launched, including Dezeen Showroom, Dezeen School Shows and Dezeen Courses.
"Throughout the pandemic, Dezeen showed incredible agility, pivoting and launching new content and events digitally for its audience," the judges said.
"These new initiatives and clever thinking saw Dezeen achieve record-breaking traffic, which resulted in strong financial performance."
Dezeen's "climate leadership credentials" praised
They also praised Dezeen's pledge to become a net-zero business by 2025.
"The judges were impressed with the commercial performance of Dezeen but also the establishment of their climate leadership credentials," the judges said.
Dezeen's chief content officer Benedict Hobson, chief revenue officer Wai Shin Li and editor Tom Ravenscroft collected the award on behalf of the Dezeen team at the PPA Independent Publishers Awards 2021 ceremony in London on Friday.
Dezeen was also shortlisted in the Business Publication of the Year and Independent Publishing Company of the Year categories, while Ravenscroft was shortlisted for the Editor of the year.
Tenth award for Dezeen
Dezeen's success at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards is the tenth accolade we have received this year.
Dezeen's design and environment reporter Jennifer Hahn was named New Journalist of the Year at the IBP National Journalism Awards earlier this month.
Dezeen was named Best Small Digital Publisher of the Year and scooped three other prizes at the AOP Digital Publishing Awards in September.
Fairs took home prizes in the Specialist Editor of the Year and Independent Editor of the Year categories at the BSME Awards, while Dezeen's in-house creative studio Dezeen Studio was named Best Video Team at the BSME Talent Awards, which recognises teams and individuals without an editor title.
Earlier this year, Dezeen also won a People's Voice Webby Award for the Out of the Box competition with Samsung, which challenged contestants to create objects for the home by repurposing television packaging.
