Ekstrem chair by Terje Ekstrøm for Varier
Originally created by industrial designer Terje Ekstrøm in 1984, Varier has rereleased the Ekstrem chair in new fabric options.
The chair is a classic piece of Norwegian postmodernist furniture and is now available in a knitted velvet fabric called Gentle 2 from Danish upholstery brand Kvadrat.
The Ekstrem chair was featured on Dezeen Showroom this week, alongside a sun umbrella that doubles as an outdoor light source and a seating collection that features armrests used as an additional place to sit.

Arch pendant lamp by Johan Lindstén and Markus Johansson for Oblure
Arch is a pendant lamp made from tubular metal that is curved to create six arches, designed by Johan Lindstén and Markus Johansson for Swedish brand Oblure.
Available in a variety of bold colours, the lamp has a graphic shape that is intended to be a nod to classical architecture.
Hulasol sun umbrella by Hulasol
Hulasol is a sun umbrella that functions both as a traditional parasol and an outdoor light, created by Belgian manufacturer Hulasol.
The light is controlled by a smartphone app and the umbrella's base has wheels, making it easy for users to manoeuvre.
Hemp fabric by Camira is a classic-weave textile made from a blend of wool and hemp fibres, available in a range of muted colours.
According to recent research from the Centre for Natural Material Innovation at Cambridge, hemp crops capture atmospheric carbon twice as effectively as forests, making it a popular sustainable fabric choice.

Ideal for hospitality and workplace settings, Cross Bar is a bar stool that is designed to be easily repairable, created by design studio Pearson Lloyd for Danish company Takt.
Cross Bar is available in two heights and made from timber that comes in three finishes, including oiled oak, smoked oak and black-lacquered oak.

The True collection is a range of sofas, armchairs and poufs designed to provide informal and adaptable seating.
Created by True Design, the collection includes a seating design named Fender, which has rounded armrests that are intended to be used as an additional place to sit.

Created by RBW, Radient Reimagined is a collection of wooden wall lights that come in various shapes and colours.
The collection is an extension of the brand's Radient range, which has been updated to incorporate optimised LEDs for a stronger and brighter lighting effect.
VicBooth Office is a collection of pods and meeting rooms created by Vicoustic to provide sound-insulated spaces within open-plan offices.
The collection ranges in size from one-by-one metre booths to three-by-four metre rooms, which are available in three exterior colours: black, natural oak and white.

Dawson is a floor and wall tile collection created by Parkside Architectural Surfaces that can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The collection includes a porcelain tile named Dawson Stone, which was informed by limestone found in the Pyrenees mountain range.
