Pakistani architect Yasmeen Lari is joined by Marcel Wanders and Gabriele Chiave of Marcel Wanders Studio, along with designer Lara Bohinc and architects Kabage Karanja and Stella Mutegi of Cave Bureau to judge Dezeen Awards 2022.

Now in its fifth year, the programme has become the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere, with winners selected by a prestigious panel of international judges.

Lari, the first woman to qualify as an architect in Pakistan, is known for heritage conservation and for designing low-carbon housing for survivors of natural disasters. She is the co-founder and CEO of the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan.
She is judging the architecture categories alongside Chinese architect Zhang Ke, and Karanja and Mutegi of Kenyan architecture studio Cave Bureau.
Ukrainian architect Slava Balbek is the founder of international architecture and interior design studio Balbek Bureau.
He is judging the interiors categories at Dezeen Awards 2022 along with Ksenia Starikova of Design Hotels.
Joining them is Brazilian architect Noelia Monteiro of Estudio Flume (pictured), and Los Angeles based spatial and interior designer Adi Goodrich, who co-founded creative studio Sing Sing.
Wanders and Chiave of Amsterdam design practice Marcel Wanders Studio are judging the design categories at Dezeen Awards 2022.
They are joined by furniture and object designer Bohinc, and Naomi Davenport of London Craft Week.
Also on the panel is curator Meneesha Kellay, who has recently been announced as co-curator of the British Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2023.
Joining her is Nigerian designer Nifemi Marcus-Bello of Nmbello Studio and Chinese designer Min Wang, who is the dean of Central Academy of Fine Arts Design College in China.
Also judging your designs at Dezeen Awards 2022 is Dominique Petit-Frère, the founder of Ghana-based spatial design studio Limbo Accra.
Dezeen Awards 2022 will be judged by a panel of 93 industry-leading professionals. The media and sustainability categories will have their own judging panels, which will be announced soon.
