Now in its fifth year, categories span architecture, interiors and design, as well as media and sustainability. Studio categories recognise outstanding individuals and companies. Submit your work to be seen by our star-studded jury. 

Entering gives you a chance to be featured on Dezeen, the world's most popular and influential architecture and design website. You could also win a trophy designed by Dutch design studio Atelier NL, made with wood from London trees.

Star-studded jury

Judging this year's programme is a panel of 93 industry-leading professionals across architecture, design, journalism, and curation. We also have experts in the fields of sustainability and media. 

Dezeen is committed to a transparent, rigorous judging process carried out by a gender-balanced panel from all around the world.

Architecture Judges

Judging the architecture categories are architect Sou Fujimoto, Tosin Oshinowo of cmDesign Atelier, Portuguese architect Mariana Pestana, Willo Perron of Perron-Roettinger, Pakistani architect Yasmeen Lari and architectural curator Vicky Richardson, to name a few.

Interiors Judges

Among those judging the interior categories are Rossanu Hu of Neri&Hu Design, Dara Huang of Design Haus Liberty, Seoul-based spatial designer Jonghwan Baek, Noelia Monteiro of Estudio Flume, interior designer Danielle Brustman, Jacu Strauss of Lore Group, and Jo Nagasaka founder of Schemata architects.

Design Judges

Judging the design categories are graphic designer Paula Scher, Alberto Alessi of Alessi S.p.A, Lara Bohinc of Bohinc Studio, designer and curator Alice Stori Liechtenstein, solar designer Marjan van Aubel and Rolf Hay of Danish design brand Hay, among many others.

Sustainability Judges

Environmental design writer Katie Treggiden will for the second time lead the sustainability judging panel.

Joining her include experts Nick Shute of Dodds and Shute, Jay Blades of Jay&Co, architect Rajeev Kathpalia of Vāstu Shilpā Consultants, and Dutch Author Babette Porcelijn founder of Think Big Act Now.

Media Judges

Leading the media panel is BAFTA-nominated producer Liam young.

Other judges include photographer and filmmaker Sam Youkilis, Argentinian digital artist Andrés Reisinger, award-winning artist Andrea Zimmerman, Charlene Prempeh founder of A Vibe Called Tech, and architectural photographers Sebastian Weiss and Simone Bossi.

What are the judging criteria?

The panels will judge projects and products based on Dezeen Awards' three main criteria – beautiful, innovative and beneficial. For the studio categories, they will be selecting architecture and design studios that show strong vision and achievement.

The sustainability judges will look for projects that strive to benefit people and the planet.

The media judges will be looking for beautiful, engaging content and technical prowess, rewarding excellence the way architecture, interiors and design are communicated and promoted.
