Created by Italian architectural material brand Lapitec, the material is manufactured from a mixture that is made wholly from natural minerals that are melted at over 1,500 degrees and compressed by patented vacuum vibro-compression technology.
Lapitec has a minimal look and its main features are described by the brand as "porous-free, heat and frost resistant as well as UV and scratch-resistant" which make it suitable for use across the exterior of buildings and architectural structures.
"The exterior and interior are identical, without enamel and digital printing on the surface," said Lapitec. "This feature allows Lapitec to be machined across its full thickness while ensuring consistent appearance and performance."
Lapitec is also resistant to dirt, mould and bacteria, and does not weather or deteriorate with age or cleaning.

The material is available in large slabs up to 3440 millimetres and is designed to have technically advanced properties in comparison to ceramics, porcelain stoneware, quartz, marble and granite. The material is also silica-free.
The slabs can be used vertically and horizontally – both indoor and outdoor –and are available in three different thicknesses, including 12, 20 and 30 millimetres.
Along with the number of different thicknesses, Lapitec is available in 17 shades, which were informed by the earth. It also comes in seven surface textures that range from smooth to tactile.
When installed, the slabs can be organised in a regular and symmetrical arrangement or irregularly to create a stacked Tetris-style look.
